Panagbenga 2020 activities were moved to March due to coronavirus

The Baguio Flower Festival Foundation rescheduled the Panagbenga 2020 activities next month as a preventive measure against 2019-nCoV Acute Respiratory Disease spread during the festival.

The decision has been made after a Friday meeting.

The supposedly Feb. 1 schedule of the festival’s opening parade was again moved to March 21.

The Street Dance Parade was moved to March 28, and the Grand Float Parade will be observed on March 29.

Meanwhile, the Cordillera Administrative Regional Athletic Association (CARAA) athletic meet will be held on March 24.

The Baguio City local government previously postponed the Panagbenga 2020 opening ceremony after the Department of Health confirmed the first case of 2019-nCoV ARD in the Philippines.

As of Sunday, there are 284 persons under investigation for a possible novel coronavirus acquisition, and  one death out of three confirmed cases.
