In “Fan Girl,” she surprised audiences by displaying acting prowess much above her years. That’s not to suggest Charlie Dizon hasn’t done her best work in terms of acting. In a recent interview, the 25-year-old stated that she is more than ready to take on new challenges and is keen to push limits for the sake of art. She’s even willing to strip down for the camera. If it’s the correct content and she really needs to, she’ll do it. “I’m an actress, so if it’s necessary to serve a plot, I’ll do it,” she remarked. “I suppose it all depends on the substance, really,” she continued. “Why not?” says the author, if there is a genuine need for it. We asked Charlie if she ever felt like everything was going too fast, too soon for her as one of the most successful actors of her generation, fielding offers left and right.
“I do feel overwhelmed at times,” she admitted, “but I can’t complain.” I like to be appreciative. I mean, not everyone has the same opportunities that I have, and I feel like I’ve been extremely fortunate, so I’d rather be appreciative than anything else.” Charlie will star alongside Jameson Blake, Joem Bascon, and Mylene Dizon in the upcoming film “My Sunset Girl.” “My Sunset Girl,” directed by Andoy Ranay and produced by Dreamscape Entertainment, will premiere on iWant TFC on July 14.
