Following the death of her pet dog of 13 years, Gabbi Garcia celebrated her birthday in advance by also helping out other animals, as she visited and donated necessities to a shelter.
Garcia, who turns 22 tomorrow, Dec. 2, went to the Pawssion Project Foundation shelter on Nov. 29 to donate cat and dog food for the non-profit organization’s rescued animals.
“Heartfelt thanks to @gabbi who chose to celebrate her birthday and their beloved Sunshine’s life, by paying it forward through visiting our rescues and sharing their blessings to our fur friends at the shelter,” the organization stated on Instagram yesterday, Nov. 30.
Meanwhile, Pawssion Project’s statement came with several photos of Garcia’s visit, with some showing that she was accompanied by her boyfriend, Khalil Ramos.
“Thank you Gabbi for honoring Sunshine’s life by making other dogs happy. She is definitely proud of you. Also remember, they are just physically gone,” the Pawssion Project Foundation said.
“We all know, they will forever stay in our hearts. From our Pawssion Project family to yours, THANK YOU. Despite the bad weather yesterday, you still came,” it added.
Sunshine, Garcia’s dog of over a decade, died on Nov. 18. The actress honored her pet the next day by making a heartfelt tribute, where she told Sunshine to “Run free in paradise.”
