In “Magandang Buhay” guesting of Ian Veneracion on Wednesday, he recalled a moment when his daughter Dids, 16 yrs. old that time, confessed to him that she is attracted to girls.
Sabi niya ‘Daddy, I have to tell you something.’ Sabi ko, ‘What? Sit down.’ Sabi niya, ‘I like girls.’ Tapos sabi ko sa kanya, ‘Me also I like girls.’ So parang nagtataka siya, sabi niya, ‘It’s okay?’ Sabi ko, ‘Yes. Just don’t be ever apologetic about it, not even to me.’ Sabi ko, ‘You can be whoever you want to be and I have full support,'” Veneracion said.
“Natawa siya. Sabi niya, ‘You know?’ So alam ko na dati,” he added.
Parang what a waste of life.”
Also, Veneracion added that his wife supports their daughter’s gender preference.
So she has full support of the whole family,” Veneracion said.
This kind of acceptance and parenting of Ian Veneracion was commended by the social community and made him a trending topic on Twitter.
