A 5.6 magnitude earthquake shakens Occidental Mindoro early Monday morning. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) confirmed this in an interview.
The epicenter was located 31 kilometers southeast of Looc at a depth of 121 kilometers. Meanwhile, Makati City, Quezon City, Mandaluyong City, Malabon City, Muntinlupa City, and Pasig City felt Intensity 2, characterized by scarcely perceptible shaking.
Intensities were recorded in the following areas:
IV – Looc, Lubang, Mamburao, Paluan, and Sablayan, and Tagaytay City.
II – Makati City, Quezon City, Mandaluyong City, Malabon City, Muntinlupa City, and Pasig City.
The following instrumental intensities were also recorded:
IV – Puerto Galera, and Oriental Mindoro.
III – San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, Roxas, and Oriental Mindoro
II – Bacoor City, Las Piñas City, Muntinlupa City; Calumpit and Plaridel, Bulacan; Dolores, Quezon; Carmona, Cavite
I – Marikina City; Quezon City; San Juan City; Guagua, Pampanga; Gumaca and Mauban, Quezon; Marilaoa and San Rafael, Bulacan; Talisay, and Batangas
