The alleged “drug queen” of Manila has left the Philippines, confirmed the Bureau of Immigration, yet the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) wants her return to prove she is innocent.
“As per travel records, she indeed recently left the country,” Immigration spokesperson Dana Sandoval said on Wednesday.
Guia Gomez Castro was allowed to leave the country as per Sandoval because the suspect has no derogatory records.
“[Castro] has no derogatory records, hence she was allowed to depart,” Sandoval said.
The BI confirmed Gomez left the country last September 21 for Bangkok, Thailand.
Manila Police Chief Brig. Gen. Vicente Danao was the one who identified Castro as “drug queen”.
PDEA wants Castro to come back
However, PDEA chief Director General Aaron Aquino said on Thursday that he wanted Castro to return to the country and prove her claim that she is innocent.
“[I invite her to come back and prove that she is not a drug a queen. She says that she’s just being accused of being a drug queen],” Aquino said during his DZMM interview.
Aquino also added that Castro could be in conspiracy with someone from National Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa City as “ninja cops” are assumed to be some of her major purchasers.
