Water remains safe to drink despite ashfall, Manila Water says

Manila Water Company, Inc. has told its consumers on Monday that even after the steam-driven eruption of Taal Volcano, water remains safe to drink for Metro Manila and the surrounding provinces.

“Manila water assures its customers in the East Zone of Metro Manila and Rizal province that water remains safe to drink, even as ashfall due to Mt. Taal eruption has been experienced around the metro and in Rizal areas,” the water concessionaire said in an advisory.

It also encourages to make sure to properly cover containers to avoid contamination from ash.
