Michelle Dee advances in the competition as she battled and became one of the winners in the final round of the Miss World 2019 head-to-head-challenge.
Ten candidates of the pageant, including her, gained a spot in the Top 40.
Joining her are the beauty queens of Moldova, Nepal, Venezuela, Nigeria, Mexico, Guyana, India, Trinidad and Tobago, and Paraguay.
Candidates were asked to talk about the advocacy they stand for.
“It’s been such a proud moment for us today, mga kababayan, as we’ve officially secured a spot in the Top 40 through the head-to-head challenge!” Dee shared this announcement on an Instagram post.
Moreover, her “Beauty with a Purpose” advocacy about autism awareness landed in the final 20.
Michelle Dee dominated Miss World Turkey in the finals after surpassing the candidates from Rwanda, Aruba, Dominican Republic, and Ghana in the first round of the challenge.
The PH bet is aiming to be the successor of the crown and be the next Filipina beauty to bring home the title after Megan Young was crowned in 2013.
Katarina Rodriguez, Miss World representative last year, almost made it to the Top 30.
