Officially, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have single status. Court records show that a Los Angeles judge finalized the divorce on Tuesday which ended the brief marriage between the 27-year-old American pop star and the 30-year-old Australian actor.
The couple split and in August. Hemsworth filed for divorce just eight months after he married Cyrus.
Hemsworth and Cyrus have no children, and spousal support was not pursued either. Records cited irreconcilable differences as the root of the split.
In the release statement announcing the divorce, both said they chose to focus on themselves and their careers, and would remain “dedicated parents to all of their animals they share.”
The artist of “Wrecking Ball” and the “Hunger Games” star spent nearly a decade intermittent stints as a couple before marrying in December 2018.
The day after Hemsworth filed for divorce, Miley Cyrus on Twitter denied infidelity issues.
“I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating,” Cyrus said in one of a series of tweets. “Liam and I have been together for a decade. I’ve said it before & it remains true, I love Liam and always will.”
