South Korean girl group Momoland will donate the proceeds of their upcoming concert to needy children, according to its agency MLD Entertainment.
The agency said in a statement that the earnings of their event “Good Friends in Manila” will be given to kids from two barangays in Antipolo City, San Jose and Calawis.
This will be held on October 5 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
Aside from the donation, the children will also be given clothes and other necessities on October 25.
MLD Entertainment also mentioned that Momoland is planning to conduct charity events every year.
Meanwhile, the ex-members of disbanded boy group Wanna One, Kim Jaehwan and Ha Sungwoon, will also perform at the event.
In 2018, Momoland became known in their song “Bboom Bboom,” which became a viral hit in the Philippines.
Nancy, Hyebin, Yeonwoo, Nayun, Jane, JooE, Ahin, are the members who debuted in 2016, while Taeha and Daisy were included the following year.
This is not the first time that the group will visit the Philippines. They first visited the country in August last year for an exclusive event, then returned in December for a mini concert in Ilocos Sur. They also came back here in January 2019 for a fanmeeting.
