Wife of suspended PBA star Calvin Abueva, Sam Abueva, has revealed on social media how her husband treats her and her children.
Sam surprised the netizens after posting on Calvin’s Instagram account the screenshots of CCTV footage showing his alleged abuse.
“Last year, 2018, January tumakas kami ng mga anak ko sa kanya kasi sobra na ‘yung threat na ginagawa niya sakin, sasaksakin na niya ako, babarilin na niya ako,” she said.
“‘Yung mga CCTV na ‘yun ang pananakit ni Calvin na hindi niyo masisikmura kung paano niya ako saktan at kung paano niya saktan ang mga anak namin,” Sam added
She also answered questions from their followers regarding the issue through Q&A feature of Instagram and went live after, narrating their traumatic experience with the basketball player.
Early this month, she also revealed that she had a fight with her husband, resulting in her getting rushed to the hospital.
“July 10 nag-spotting ako kasi lasing siya, dinaganan niya ang tiyan ko, na-ospital ako noon. July 8 pinipilit niya akong galawin, dinudugo ako sabi ko hindi pwede kasi makukunan ako ayaw kong mawalan ng anak,” she said.
Moreover, Sam explained that she has kept things for the longest time but she could not hold it in anymore as this already involved her children.
“Kaya lang naman ako nagkaganito dahil ‘yung anak na nakakita ng lahat ng ginagawa niyan, ito ‘yung madaling araw gumising,” she said.
“Nanginginig siya gusto niyang yakapin ko siya ng mahigpit, pinapabuksan niya sa akin ‘yung ilaw kasi natatakot siya sa Daddy niya, nandoon na kami sa punto na ganoon,” she added.
At the of her 14-minute live video, she left a strong message and invitation to Calvin.
“Calvin, magtutuos tayo, ‘wag kang sinungaling. Magpakatotoo ka, ‘yun lang ang masasabi ko sayo,” Sam said.
PBA Commissioner on Calvin’s case
Meanwhile, PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial, who threw an indefinite suspension on the power forward player, sincerely hopes that this recent reports about Abueva are not true.
“I just hope that all that I am seeing on social media is not true,” he told the Inquirer minutes before Game 2 of the TNT-Barangay Ginebra Final Four series, on Sunday.
“It only further tarnishes his image,” added Marcial, who has been paying attention with the things Calvin does amid suspension to assess how he is working on himself.
The Phoenix Pulse star has been in the headlines over the last two months for committing inappropriate actions. He is currently suspended indefinitely and fined P50,000 for clotheslining TNT import Terrence Jones and another P20,000 for “engaging in a verbal altercation with a fan and making obscene gestures”.
