COVID-19 is a virus that no one is immune to. Even beauty queens aren’t immune. Shamcey Supsup, the national director of Miss Universe Philippines, recently turned to social media to tell followers about her three-week struggle with COVID-19. Thankfully, she prevailed. According to the Miss Universe third-runner-up, she originally mistook it for the regular flu, despite the fact that she and the rest of her family have already received complete COVID-19 vaccinations.
She said, “It came as a shock because we were all completely vaccinated however we actually got tainted and surprisingly had gentle to direct side effects. She proceeded to portray her experience. “I would describe it as a really really bad flu…“It was also the first time that I’ve experienced a total loss of smell and taste. Adequately fortunate, we had the option to improve at home.”
